Green bean soup with dill

As a child, I distinguished two categories among soups. Red leaf and yellow soup. One of my grandmothers made the green bean soup in red, the mash in yellow. I liked red better. We also cook this version in the Fairy Kitchen. Fooling around with dill was the idea of one of his colleagues, who said that the characterful taste of dill enhances and even highlights the softness of green beans.
